Our mission is to educate people on the importance of early detection by bringing attention and awareness to self-breast exams, mammograms, and the benefits of exercise and diet for a healthier body to ward off cancer.

The Horizon of Hope Hershey started when a group of Longaberger Consultants decided to use Longaberger’s Horizon of Hope campaign to benefit their local community.  Since 2002, the Horizon of Hope Hershey event has raised over $160,000!  The proceeds have been donated to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, Hope Lodge, Hershey, the ACS Patient Services Fund and the MS Hershey Breast Center’s Karen Dwyer-Jones Fund, among others.

Each year, our committee works tirelessly to create a fun, informative, and lavish event for our 300+ guests.  Our event is held on a Saturday at the beautiful Hotel Hershey.  We have informative speakers, survivors and representatives from the ACS (American Cancer Society), PBCC (PA Breast Cancer Coalition) and the Hershey Breast Center.  Our guests are served a delicious breakfast and have many opportunities to win raffle prizes, door prizes and silent auction items.  Our committee of dedicated women includes: Norma Artz, Karen Batula, Linda Davis, Sue Deaven, Judi Eitnier, Lisa Engle, Llaine Groninger, Shelley McCloskey, Bernie Stumpf, Jackie Ebright, Alma Engle, Louise Brown, and Tara Marshall.  Our 2019 Horizon of Hope Hershey event is scheduled for Saturday, August 17, 2019.
